Dad & I Wilderness

This is a 3 day/2 night event up in beautiful North East Iowa Forrest!-It's designed for Fathers and Son's to come and get to share the joy of the outdoors! We will tent camp, cook over the fire, and  fish! As well as share in a great time with other dads and sons  as we worship together in God's Creation! 

3rd Grade & Up! 

The Plan:

We will depart from Rising Sun Church of Christ Friday October 21 at 12:10pm and arrive a little after 3:30 at Yellow Forrest State Park. Will be staying at the Youth Sites at Little Paint Campground. We will have space to set up tents and can have a max of 60 campers. There are primitive sites if you would have interest in coming and renting sites for your RV. That would be above and beyond the admission price and can be reserved at https://iowastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

Transportation is the campers responsibilities. If you need help with this please contact Mike at the Camp, we can try and help you pair with other people that could supply rides.

While the main idea of this event is for fathers and sons, we would love to have Grandfathers, uncles, or father figures join us. Mainly this is a Men & Boys event and we look for to sharing time together as men.

If you don’t have gear such as Tents and Fishing Poles. Tents will be rented at $30 a tent and fishing poles will be available from the camp. Limited supplies on both so please sign up in registration for a tent.
